Fujifilm announced a new line of advanced FinePix digital cameras at CES 2014 in Last Vegas. The lineup includes the FinePix S1, FinePix XP70, FinePix S9400W, and FinePix S8600.
The FInePix S1, is an ultrazoom camera that is rain and dust resistant. It features a 16MP CMOS sensor with a 50x optical zoom 24mm F2.8-1200mm F5.6 lens with a digital zoom of up to 100x. The 3-inch LCD display features a high resolution with a .2-inch 920k dot EVF. The FinePix S1 also boasts Wi-Fi connectivity so users can share images directly from the camera with the Fujifilm Camera Remote app.
The FinePix XP70 is a rugged digital camera with a 16MP CMOS high speed sensor designed for more extreme weather than the S1. The FinePix XP70 is dustproof, waterproof up to 33ft, shockproof from 5ft, and freezeproof up to 14 degrees. In addition to its ruggedized design, the XP70 has Wi-sFi connectivity and can capture video in 1080p, even when underwater.
The FinePix S9400W with WiFi and the FinePix S9200 without WiFi both have a 16 megapixel CMOS sensor. They each bost a maximum ISO of 12,800 with a F2.9-6.5 lens with 50x optical zoom and with up to 100x magnification. Both cameras also feature Super Macro mode to get images as close as 1cm and a continuous shooting speed of 10 fps. The S9400W and S9200 both have an advertised start up time of one second, auto focus of .3 seconds, and Fujifilm states both models will be ready to shoot again within .5 seconds.
Finally, the FinePix S8600 features a 16 megapixel sensor with a lens that automatically collapses for easy storage when not in use. The S8600 features a 36x long-zoom 25-90mm lens with autofocus that can also record in full HD video.
The S1, XP70, S9400W, S9200, and the S8600 will be available in March 2014 for $499.95, $229.95, $349.95, $329.95, and $229.95 respectively.
