Sigma Announces Price for 24-105mm F4 DG OS HSM Lens

Sigma's new Art lens, the 24-105mm f/4 will be available in November. The first lenses to ship will be the Canon mounts. Next up will be the Nikon and Sigma mounts in December. The Sony mounts will follow soon after. All mount except the Sony mounts will include Sigma's Optical Stabilizer (OS) technology. OS is not included in the Sony mounts due to the manufacturer's in-camera image stabilization system.

Designed for full frame cameras, the 24-105mm lens is also compatible with cropped sensor cameras.

The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 17.7 inches and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:4.6. The lens features a 9 blade rounded diaphragm. This mid range zoom lens has a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) which offers silent auto focus. It also has manual focusing capability. Sigma offers the same standard of build and design as their other recent lenses. The lens weighs a hefty 31.2 oz. for its 3.5"x 4.3" body and has been designed to withstand the constant use of a professional or semi-professional photographer.  

The 24-105mm is compatible with Sigma's USB dock allowing photographers to update its firmware and change focus parameters using Sigma's Optimization Pro softwareIt is also compatible with Sigma's recently announced Mount Conversion Service. Plus, this lens is eligible for Sigma's four year warranty.

The Sigma 24-105mm f/4 will be available for $899 starting in November.
