by Laura Hicks -  8/5/2013

New to the Nikon product lineup is the SB300 flash, the 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6 lens and the Coolpix L620 camera.

The SB300 is a super compact flash ideal for smaller cameras like the Nikon Coolpix A. The SB300 is smaller than the SB400 and about 1/3 or less the size of an SB800. Talk about extremely compact! The flash tilts to 120 degrees and has a guide number of 59 feet. It is powered by 2 AAA batteries. The SB300 will retail for $149.95 and set to start shipping in late August.

Nikon's newest lens is the AF-S DX Nikkor 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6 ED VR. It is designed for the photographer who likes to travel with only one lens. The lens gives the user 4 additional stops of handheld images due to the image stabilization built into the lens. The 18-140mm lens has 1 aspherical element and one EP element. It offers photographers smooth, stable video due to its silent wave motor. The lens promises great sharpness across the entire image. The lens also features a metal mount, making it more durable than those with plastic mounts. The lens retails for $599.95 and set to start shipping in late August.

Last but not least, the newest camera with the Nikon stamp of approval is the Coolpix L620. The Coolpix L620 is compact and small enough to fit in a pocket, but offers users a 14x zoom making it easy to grab that long distance shot. The camera has a focal length of 25-350mm (35mm equivalent). It boasts an 18.1-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor. It also has a 3-inch LCD and offers in-camera optical vibration reduction and an ISO range up to 3200. One of the best things to love about this camera is the redesigned ergonomics and convenience of standard batteries. It features and easy to hold grip and allows users to shoot with 2 double A batteries instead of a proprietary Nikon battery proving this camera is designed for photographers that are on the go and like to travel. The camera shoots 1080p 60i video. The Coolpix L620 will retail for $249.95 and set to start shipping in late August.
