Announced at International CES 2013 in January, the Samsung WB250F and DV150F have now made it to the shelves of retailers. Available at bargain prices, Samsung hopes to bring the world of "Smart Cameras" home to everyone. Both cameras offer advanced Wi-Fi connectivity and are designed for smartphone users wanting better images. A new user interface combines touch-typing and big screen functionality for quicker editing and uploading to devices and social media networks.
The WB250F, Samsung's flagship ultrazoom with an 18x zoom lens, offers a 14.2 Megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, hybrid touch interface and full manual mode option for photographers that require complete control. A 3-inch LCD screen makes utilizing features such as Best Face, SMART Mode and Motion Photo features easy and fun. Full HD video recording is also available on this camera. The WB250F has a pop-up flash and is available in four colors; white, cobalt black, gun metal and red.
The DV150F debuts as one of Samsung's compact point and shoot cameras. The DV150F features a 2.7-inch back LCD screen and a 1.5-inch front LCD screen, which makes taking those "selfies" easier than puckering your lips. Eyes aren't wide enough? Teeth aren't bright enough? No problem! The DV150F is even equipped with a Beauty Palette feature which enables users to "enhance" their images by applying make-up type effects to the subject. Other creative features such as Smart Filter 3.0, Motion Photo and Magic Frame allow users greater control over image editing. The DV150F hosts a 16.2 Megapixel CCD sensor, F2.5 25mm lens and 5x optical zoom. The DV150F is available in five different colors including white, black, plum, lime green and light pink.
Just in time for Valentine's Day, the WB250F has an MSRP of $249.99 and DV300F has an MSRP of $149.99.
