Kodak Down for the Count

Kodak's financial woes have taken the once-strong imaging giant to the brink of bankruptcy. As reported by the Wall Street Journal, an effort is being made to avoid Chapter 11 filing by selling portions of its patent portfolio. If this fails, we could see Kodak filing for bankruptcy sometime this month.

As of the past several years, Kodak's drive has been to fill the marketplace with budget compacts, ultrazooms and compact camcorders. We recently posted a review of the Kodak PlayFull Waterproof, a flawed but perfectly acceptable rugged camcorder. Our sister site, PrinterComparison recently published a review of the Kodak Hero 9.1 All-in-One printer.
