Olympus confirms the launch of the ultra zoom SP-610UZ in the SP line and TG-610 and TG-310 to the Stylus Tough series; and also adds the wide-angle zoom VG-120. Almost all of these are available in a variety of colors. The additions to the Stylus Tough series can withstand water depths of 16 and 10 feet.
Olympus TG-610 and TG-310
The TG-610 is a 14 megapixel camera, is a successor to the Stylus Tough series, and can go underwater by 16 feet. It can also absorb shocks from up to 5 feet, and is freezeproof in temperatures as low as 14-degrees Fahrenheit. It also has 28mm wide angle zoom and 5x optical zoom range, has a 3.0-inch 920k LCD monitor, can make HD films with magic filter, and is Wi-Fi card compatible. It is available in silver, blue, red, and black.
The TG-310 is very similar to the TG-610, except this model can only go underwater by 10 feet, has a 2.7-inch LCD screen, and a 3.6x optical zoom range. It is available in blue, silver, red, orange, and white.
This 14 megapixel point-and-shoot camera in the SP line features a 22x ultra zoom and a 28mm wide angle zoom. It also offers a 3.0-inch LCD screen, can record magic filter HD movies, and is Wi-Fi compatible. Comes in black only.
The VG-120 is a 14 megapixel, 5x optical zoom with 720p HD video and features a 27mm wide angle zoom. It also has image stabilization, magic filter and AF tracking. It is available in red, silver and black.
The SP-610UZ, TG-610, and TG-310 will be available in February and the VG-120 will be available in January.
