Fujifilm has announced the first waterproof addition to its family of stylish point-and-shoot cameras, the FinePix Z33WP.

Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP

Fear no rainstorm, boating trip, or shallow pool – the Z33WP boasts waterproof functionality up to ten feet underwater. It will also feature a 10 megapixel resolution sensor, 2.7 inch LCD, and a 3x optical zoom lens.

Outdoor-friendly shooting modes
In an effort to make this camera ready for outdoor action, Fujifilm has equipped the Z33WP with automatic scene recognition technology. The camera will be able to identify six types of scenes and automatically adjust ISO, white balance, focus and exposure.

The Z33WP also features a Blog Mode, tailoring each photo to a blog-friendly size of 640x480 pixels (VGA) or 320x240 pixels (QVGA). This setting will also allow for a few in-camera editing options.

A round up of other standard features includes face detection, automatic red eye removal, timer mode, a 30 fps movie mode, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

Pricing and availability
Expect to see the Z33WP at stores in late March. Like the rest of the Z series, the Z33WP should arrive in a parade of bold colors including pink, green, or black, with a very attractive suggested price of just $199.95.
