Samsung rounded out this afternoon's new model announcements with the addition of a pair of user-friendly compacts to its budget SL line.
The two fresh 10 megapixel models – the basic SL102 and more generously equipped SL420 – feature mostly run-of-the-mill specs, with a few noteworthy upgrades. Notably, both models utilize lithium-ion power instead of the more common AA sources often used in base model compacts.
While the SL102's features set offers very little else that we haven't seen before, the SL420 adds a few uncommon touches for an entry-level model: a 5x zoom, a 2.7 inch LCD, and even optical image stabilization.
Per Samsung's announcement, top-level specs and features for each model are as follows:
Samsung hasn't provide pricing info or detailed specs about these models at the time of this writing, though both are expected in stores during Q2 2009.
