Camera bag manufacturer Lowepro has announced two new product lines – including a line of eco-friendly electronics pouches – as well as additions to three of its most popular existing product families.
Lowepro's new Terraclime line of electronics pouches are constructed of fabrics made from post-consumer recycled materials. The environmentally conscious pouches come in several sizes, from small MP3 player versions to bags large enough to haul a DSLR. A padded equipment wrap provides "an extra layer of protection from bumps and bruises."
Two recycled-material models have also been added to Lowepro's Primus AW series of all-weather SLR backpacks. The PrimusMinimus AW and CompuPrimus AW are each made from 51 percent recycle materials. The compact PrimusMinimus can haul a DSLR with a moderate-range zoom attached in addition to one or two extra lenses.
Coming in as the largest offering yet in the Primus series, the CompuPrimus AW has space for a DSLR, up to five lenses, and a laptop compartment large enough to stow 15.4-inch notebooks. Both bags pack an all-weather cover and tripod attachment hardware – standard fare for the Primus line.
In addition to its environmentally friendly offerings, Lowepro has expanded its SlingShot line of side-open bags to include a high-capacity camera/laptop combo bag (the SlingShow 330 AW).
A larger Flipside bag, the Flipside 400, provides more carrying volume for that line as well, with the Flipside 400 touting the ability to pack along a DSLR with pro-grade zoom and up to six extra lenses.
Finally, Lowepro also unveiled its "decidedly feminine" Luxe series of premium leather camera clutch bags. Designed to stylishly protect an ultracompact, the Luxe pouches come in four fashionable hues.
