Epson UK announced the launch of a new budget-minded personal photo and document printer, the Epson Stylus S20, this afternoon.
Taking a cue from many high-end photo printers, the consumer-grade S20 features individual ink tanks rather than grouped color cartridges, affording a more efficient and economical use of consumables in the new device. Use of Epson's DuraBrite Ultra pigment-based inks provides superior print life as well, with Epson advertising an album life for prints of up to 200 years.
The S20 supports printing at speeds up to 26 ppm for single-color documents, and up to 14 ppm for color prints. Borderless photo printing is also possible with the new device.
The Stylus S20 is expected to hit retailers in the United Kingdom next month, with an anticipated price of £39.99. No word yet on whether the new model will make it to this side of the Atlantic, or at what price.
