Nikon Coolpix S51, Coolpix S51c, Coolpix S510, Coolpix S700 Announced

Nikon is adding four new Style cameras. The Coolpix S51 and Coolpix S51c are successors to the S50 and S50c. The Coolpix S510 and S700 are follow-ups to the sleek S200 and S500. The S51, S51c, and S510 will be available in September for $280, $330, and $300, respectively.

The Coolpix S51 and S51c are pretty much identical except for one feature - the S51c is WiFi-enabled. The built-in wireless capability is the 5th generation of wireless in Nikon cameras. The S51c will come with 6 months of TMobile Hotspot service, so you can upload your pictures to My Picturetown (Nikon's photo sharing service) from any TMobile Hotspot (or any other hotspot that you're able to access). My Picturetown provides 2GB of storage for images and movies and is accessible from mobile phones.

The S510 and S700 are similiar to the S200 and S500, with sleek, all-metal bodies. They're definitely targeted at a fashion-conscious user, looking for a quick little camera. The S510 and S700, like their predecessors, will not be as widely available as other Coolpix cameras. They also promise to operate more quickly than your average point & shoot digital camera.
