SeaLife, maker of dive cameras, is showing off what they call the world's first truly waterproof, shockproof digital camera at the Outdoor Retailer Open Air Outdoor Demo Days. The ECOshot camera takes 6 megapixel pictures, is waterproof to 75 feet and is shockproof against a 6 foot drop.
During the trade show, the ECOshot will be put to the test live when SeaLife will run it over with an SUV during the open-air sessions on August 7th and 8th. If you want to see the demo before then, there's a nice little video (of course) on YouTube:
In addition to the previously mentioned specs, the ECOshot has a 2 inch LCD, rubber armor, and is powered by 2 AA batteries. To make it more versatile, the camera has Land and Sea exposure modes. A "spy" mode lets you set the camera to automatically take a shot at a particular interval. The camera can shoot video, and to aid those action shots, it has "instant focus" with a range of 2 feet to infinity.
