Samsung has updated its stylish NV line with three new digital cameras. The NV20 offers 12 megapixels, the NV15 comes in at 10 megapixels, and the NV8 takes 8 megapixel shots. All three of the new digital cameras have the Smart Touch interface that appears on most NV models.

So far, there aren't a whole lot of details about the three cameras. They all can shoot at up to ISO 3200 and have an improved Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) system. There are a couple new features, the first of which is what Samsung is called Auto Contrast Balance, which helps adjust lighting with harshly-lit scenes, like backlit subjects. This technology is similar to Nikon's D-Lighting (applied post-capture) or Olympus' Shadow Adjustment Technology. The other new feature is an Image Noise Reduction mode where the camera performs noise reduction on shots taken at higher ISOs.

The new cameras also feature Samsung's face detection system that optimizes focus and exposure for detected faces. They all have 14 pre-programmed shooting modes. The movie mode on the cameras can capture movies at resolutions up to 640x480 at a maximum framerate of 30fps. The 3x optical zoom is available during movie capture. Images and movies can be recorded to 20MB of internal memory or you can save your data on SD or SDHC memory cards.

The Samsung NV20 will be available in Fall 2007 for $400 and the NV15 will be available in Fall 2007 for $300. Pricing and availability for the NV8 have not been announced.
