The new cards will also ship with MediaRECOVER data recovery software, which is both Windows and Mac compatible, that can be used to restore lost, deleted, or corrupted image files.

Also, like the rest of the Kingston Technology memory cards, the new 266x CompactFlash Ultimate cards have Kingston's lifetime warranty and 24/7 technical support.

As far as pricing, the 2GB card has an MSRP of $83, 4GB at $144 and the 8GB at $280.

Fujifilm IS Pro Digital Camera Announced

Fujifilm has announced their third camera, the IS Pro, that is tailored to the needs of law enforcement agencies and the medical/scientific research community. The camera is capable of capturing UV, visible, and infrared light at wavelengths of 380nm - 1000nm.

The IS Pro is based on the Finepix S5 Pro so has a 12.3MP (6.17 MP of S pixels and 6.17MP of R pixels), a Nikon F-mount, as well as compatability with Nikon iTTL flash systems. Since nearly opaque filters will be used with this camera, the 30 second live preview mode will come in handy. A mirror lock-up feature and shutter delay will make it easier to take blur-free long exposures.

The Fujifilm IS Pro will be available in many different configurations, with a body-only price of $2600. At the higher end, you can spend $5000 and get the camera, a Zeiss 50mm lens, filter kit, etc.
