Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX10, Lumix DMC-FX12, Lumix DMC-FX30 Digital Cameras Announced
by Ben Stafford -  1/30/2007

Panasonic has added three new digital cameras to it's slim and stylish FX line - the Lumix DMC-FX10, Lumix DMC-FX12, and Lumix DMC-FX30. The FX10 and FX12 are essentially the same camera, but with different resolutions (6 MP and 7.2 MP respectively). They both have 2.5 inch LCDs and 3x optical zoom lenses. The FX30 boasts that it is the world's slimmest digital camera with a wide angle (28mm equivalent). It also gets a 7.2 megapixel resolution, a 3.6x optical zoom and a 2.5 inch LCD.

All three of the cameras features Panasonic's Intelligent ISO Control, which can detect the subject movement and lighting conditions, then determine the best ISO settings to achieve the correct shutter speed to capture your subject. Coupled with the MEGA O.I.S image stabilization system that exists in every Panasonic Lumix model, the cameras can decrease blur from camera shake or from moving subjects.

Continuing this years trend of colored cameras, the FX10 will be available in silver in black, the FX12 will be available in silver, pink, blue, and the FX30 will be available in silver, black, blue, and light brown.

All three cameras will be available in February 2007. The FX10 will have an MSRP of $199, the FX12 will run $229, and the FX30 will retail for $349.
