Today, Sony announced three new additions to its lineup of E-mount lenses: 16-70mm f/4 by Carl Zeiss, an 18-105mm f/4 powerzoom G lens, and a black finish option for the 50mm f/1.8 lens.
Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar T 16-70mm f/4 ZA OSS Zoom Lens
The new 16-70mm F4 zoom lens gives photographers Carl Zeiss optics in a compact zoom lens. It has a 24-105mm range (35mm equivalent), offers a constant F4 maximum aperture, and features built-in image stabilization. It will be available in late September for about $1000.
E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS Power Zoom Lens
The new 18-105mm f/4 is the first G lens created for Sony’s E-mount cameras. The lens has a focal range of 27mm – 157.5mm in 35mm equivalents. The lens features powerzoom operation, great for shooting both video and stills. The lens has a zoom lever on the lens barrel and offers fixed or variable-speed power zooming. This lens also features a constant f/4 constant aperture and built-in image stabilization. It will be available in December for about $600.
50mm F1.8 Lens (Black)
Finally, the popular E 50mm f/1.8 prime lens is now available in a black finish. Otherwise, the lens remains the same as the previous silver version. It will be available in late September for about $300.
