Pentax has released a firmware update for its K-x DSLR. The firmware, version 1.01, makes the following improvements:

  • Adds three kinds of effects to the camera’s “Cross Processing” function (Cross Processing gives the picture a high-contrast, saturated appearance).
  • Permits assignment of the Cross Processing function to the green button.
  • Improves accuracy of the camera’s battery level indicator.
  • Improves stability for general performance.

Additional information, update instructions and the download link can be found at the Pentax website.
