Panasonic Announces Lumix G X 12-35mm F2.8 Zoom for Micro Four Thirds

by Reads (1)

Panasonic expands its Micro Four Thirds lens collection today by adding the Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F2.8 ASPH/Power O.I.S zoom. This translates to a 35mm equivalent of 24-70mm, with the total lens length measuring just 73.8mm. As an “X” series lens, it’s built with UED Extra-Low Dispersion and UHR Ultra High Refractive lenses to cut back on chromatic aberration and achieve better edge-to-edge lens performance.

The Lumix G X 12-35mm F2.8 uses an internal motor designed to provide quiet focusing action, keeping video clips relatively free of noise from the AF system. The lens is designed to resist damage from dust and splashed water. It will be available in August 2012; no pricing is announced at this time.
