Nikon announces five new cameras: COOLPIX L830, COOLPIX S6800, COOLPIX S5300, COOLPIX S3600 and COOLPIX L30.
The new COOLPIX L830 is an ultrazoom camera with a 34X optical zoom lens (68X if you invoke the Dynamic Fine Zoom feature). The L830 offers a 16-megapixel backside illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor and a Vibration Reduction (VR) system. The L830 features Easy Auto Mode, Smart Portrait System, 18 scene modes, and plenty of special effects. The camera also offers users a 3.0-inch tilting LCD monitor with 921,000 dots of resolution.
The COOLPIX L830 will be available in February 2014 for $300 in Black and Red.
The S6800 has a 12X optical zoom (24X Dynamic Fine Zoom) and built-in Wi-Fi capability. The compact S6800 features a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor. It has 18 scene modes, Advanced Glamour Retouch, and a Target Finding AF feature. It has a 3.0-inch LCD.
The COOLPIX S6800 will be available in February 2014 for $220 in Black, White and Red.
The S5300 is all about a connected camera experience with its built-in Wi-Fi and slim design. It has an 8X optical zoom (16X Dynamic Fine Zoom) and a 16-megapixel CMOS sensor. Video and still image recording is also enhanced with built-in VR, which reduces image blur caused by camera shake.
The COOLPIX S5300 will be available in February 2014 for $180 in Plum.
The S3600 sports a stylish, compact body. It has an 8X optical zoom (16X Dynamic Fine Zoom) and a 20.1-megapixel CCD sensor. It has 18 scene modes, Smart Portrait System and Target Finding AF. The camera captures video in 720p HD.
The COOLPIX S3600 will be available in February 2014 for $140 in Silver, Black, Pink and Blue.
The COOLPIX L30 is a 20.1-megapixel compact camera with a CCD sensor and a 5x optical zoom (26-130mm in 35mm equivalents). It has a 3-inch QVGA screen with 230 dots. The camera offers a dedicated Movie button and runs on AA batteries. It captures video in 720p HD.
The COOLPIX L30 will be available in February 2014 for a SRP of $120 in Red.
