Nikon announced four new additions to its Coolpix line of digital cameras the Coolpix P600, Coolpix P530, Coolpix S9700, and Coolpix P340. Each camera features Nikkor optics, allowing for improved zoom and performance in low-lighting.
The Coolpix P600 features a 16.1-megapixel CMOS sensor and a 60x optical zoom with a wide-angle range of 24mm to 1440mm, which is the equivalent of a 35mm lens. Users can zoom even further using the 120x Dynamic Fine Zoom and the Lens Shift Vibration Reduction image stabilization, which helps reduce blur when zooming from a far distance. Users can capture video with the P600 in 1080p HD resolution, even in low lighting. The P600 has integrated Wi-Fi connectivity so users can share photos without having to upload to their computer first. The 3-inch viewfinder display features a 921k-dot resolution and can be adjusted to multiple angles.
The Coolpix P530 features a 42x optical zoom with a 24-1000mm range, which is the equivalent of a 35mm lens, and an addition 84x Dynamic Fine Zoom. It also features the Lens Shift VR image stabilization technology for shooting from far distances without blur. The P530 boasts a 16.1-megapixel CMOS sensor that can also capture HD video in 1080p. It houses a 3-inch electronic LCD viewfinder and users can opt for the Wireless Mobile Adapter to share photos instantly.
The Coolpix S9700 boasts a 16-megapixel CMOS sensor and a 30x optical zoom with a 25-750mm range, which is the equivalent of a 35mm lens, with an additional 60x Dynamic Fine Zoom complete with image stabilization technology. It has built-in Wi-Fi so users can easily share images from the camera by uploading them to a compatible smart device. The S9700 also has GPS technology so users can figure out exactly where they took each shot using latitude and latitude. Users can frame shots using the 3-inch OLED electronic viewfinder with a 921k-dot resolution.
The Coolpix P340 has a 12.2-megapixel CMOS sensor and a 5x wide-angle zoom with a range of 24-100mm, with 10x Dynamic Fine Zoom and a f/1.8 maximum aperture. It also features the Lens Shift VR image stabilization technology to reduce blur from shake and users can film in full 1080p HD. With the f/1.8 lens, users can control the depth of field to shoot via the 3-inch LCD electronic viewfinder. With built-in Wi-Fi users can quickly share images to a compatible smart device.
The Cooplix P600, P530, and S9700 will be available this month for $499.95, $449.95, and $349.95 respectively, while the Coolpix P340 will be available in March for $379.95.
