GadgetTrak Launches CameraTrace Service

by Reads (1)

GadgetTrak, a provider of tracking and data protection systems, introduces a new service designed to track down stolen cameras. For a one-time $10 fee, CameraTrace will search photo sharing sites like Flickr for images taken with a registered camera. By scanning EXIF data for a unique serial number, this service is able to find photos taken with a particular camera once they are uploaded and shared online.

CameraTrace’s user fee also includes a “Lost and Found” tag, a friendly caution to potential thieves that the camera is traceable as well as a means for good samaritans to return found gear. Visit for more information.
