Casio has announced the Exilim EX-Z600 digital camera. So far, no news for a release in the US, but we will keep you posted if this changes. The slim Z600 features a 2.7 inch LCD that is brighter than screens on previous cameras. A six megapixel sensor provides enough image to fill up the large screen.
Casio also claims that the battery is good for 550 shots and the camera includes many of Casio’s other technologies. The Z600 has the latest Exilim engine and includes their Auto Shake DSP, Auto Macro, and Quick Shutter to minimize image blur from camera shake.
A new feature is the Rapid Flash function. The Rapid Flash mode allows you to shoot three flash images within one second, allowing you to capture action with the flash. A Revive mode has been added to digitize older print images by reviving faded colors and correcting obliquity if you shoot a print that’s still in the album. Casio’s Best Shot mode system has a total of 32 selections in the Z600.
Available starting in March 2006, the Casio Exilim Z600 will be available in silver, black and blue.
