Today Canon announced the EOS Rebel T5. The camera was designed for entry-level users. The camera offers an 18.0 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor. Unfortunately, the camera uses older processing technology as Canon has chosen to use the DIGIC 4 image processor in this camera. The T5 has an ISO range of 100-6400, which can be expandable to 12800. The camera has a nine-point AF system (including one center cross-type AF point). The Rebel T5 camera has a continuous shooting mode of up-to-three frames per second. The camera also has a three-inch LCD monitor. The T5 offers video capture in 1080p.
The new EOS Rebel T5 camera offers creative feature modes for those looking to add effects to their images. The camera offers fun filters including Toy Camera, Fisheye and Miniature Effect enabling photographers to expand their creativity. The camera has a built-in Feature Guide that educates the user by giving a short description of shooting modes, settings and effects.
The Canon EOS Rebel T5 Digital SLR Camera bundled with an EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II lens is scheduled to be available in March for an estimated retail price of $549.99.
