Today Canon unveils 3 new cameras to the PowerShot lineup: the ELPH 330 HS, the ELPH 115 IS and the A2500. All cameras are equipped with Canon’s new ECO mode. The ELPH 330 HS even offers Wi-Fi capabilities.
PowerShot ELPH 330 HS
The Canon PowerShot ELPH 330 HS is a compact Point and Shoot camera with a 10x optical zoom lens and 12.1-megapixel CMOS sensor. The 10x zoom offers a range from 24-240mm (35mm equivalent) and an aperture of f/3.0-6.9. The camera has a 3-inch LCD screen. The camera also has ISO speeds up to 6400. The ELPH 330 is powered by a DIGIC 5 image processor. The camera can capture up to 6.2 frames per second in high-speed burst. The 330 offers a Smart Auto mode for those of us that prefer our cameras do the work. The camera also offers Full HD 1080p video recording. For superior sound, the 330 HS has a built-in stereo microphone.
The camera offers easy sharing of images to both Android and iOS smartphones and tablets. Also, through iMAGE GATEWAY you can wirelessly upload your images to your computer or you can also send them to certain Canon printers.
The ELPH 330 is equipped with ECO mode to help save battery power and ensures you get more images out of a single charge. The Canon PowerShot ELPH 330 HS will be available in three colors: black, silver and pink. It should be available in March for the retail price of $229.99.
PowerShot ELPH 115 IS
The Canon PowerShot ELPH gives users the ELPH experience for a smaller price tag and a few less features than the 330 HS. The 115 IS offers an 8x zoom lens and a 16-megapixel CCD sensor. The ELPH 115 IS is powered by a DIGIC 4 image processor. The zoom lens ranges from 28-224mm (35mm equivalent) and an aperture of f/3.2-6.9. The camera has a 2.7-inch LCD screen. Smart Auto is also available on the ELPH 115. HD video recording with a built-in microphone is offered on this camera. In addition, the ELPH 115 comes equipped with Canon’s ECO mode to give you more battery life from a charge.
The Canon PowerShot ELPH 115 IS will be shipped to stores in March for a retail price of $169.99. It will be available in blue, silver, black, and pink.
The Canon PowerShot A2500 is the last announcement of the day for Canon. The camera includes a 16-megapixel image sensor and DIGIC 4 Image Processor. The A2500 has a 5x zoom lens that ranges from 28-140mm (35mm equivalent) and an aperture of f/2.8-6.9. The camera has a 2.7-inch LCD screen. The A2500 features Canon’s Smart Auto mode and HD video recording through a dedicated movie button. Canon’s new ECO Mode is also present on this camera which helps conserve battery life. The camera features a multitude of scene effects such as fisheye, toy camera and monochrome for more creative images. Finally, the A2500 offers a help button that provides simple explanations of the camera’s settings.
The PowerShot A2500 digital camera will be offered in silver, red and black for an estimated retail price of $129.99. It should available in April.
