Sony announces new combination printer and photo frame

Sony took the wraps off a new S-Frame digital picture frame today at PhotoPlus. The multi-tasking DPP-F700 digital frame doubles as a photo printer, spitting out glossy 4x6 inch prints at 300x300 dpi resolution. Sony gave us a brief demo on the show floor.

Our first look at the Sony Cyber-shot HX1 came nearly a year ago at PMA 2009. A lot can change in the camera world in nine months, but with the ability to fire off full-res frames at 10 fps, the HX1 hasn't lost much of its allure since then. With 1080p HD video and a 20x zoom lens, our tests proved it to be a veritable Swiss army knife of a midsize camera.

Sony Alpha DSLR-A850 joins flagship A900 as full-frame Alpha DSLR

Sony launches their second full-frame DSLR today, the Alpha DSLR-A850. Like the flagship Alpha A900, the new A850 will feature a 35mm 24.6 megapixel CMOS sensor and a 3.0 inch 921k dot LCD. With a few exceptions, it's nearly identical to its predecessor. The A850 will start at $2000, a sweet price for a full-frame system.
