Although it seems to be hard to find consumers itching for more megapixels from small cameras, it looks like we're again headed full-steam in that direction.
The 14.7 megapixel Samsung TL34HD brings more touch screen technology to the ultracompact world with the latest iteration of Samsung's Smart Touch interface.

Samsung has announced two new digital cameras in their entry level S line. The Samsung S760 and S860 are your typical entry level digital cameras. The S760 is a 7.2 megapixel camera, and the S860 is an 8.1 megapixel camera, but they're identical otherwise. They both have 3x optical zooms and feature sets. Both cameras will be available in January 2008 with the S760 available at an MSRP of $169 and the S860 at $179.
In addition to the three new NV cameras announced today, the Samsung i85 digital camera is also being announced. It's the latest model in a generation of very slim cameras capable of doubling as a personal media player (PMP). The Samsung i85 features 8 megapixel resolution, 5x optical zoom, 3 inch LCD, and measures 3.74" x 2.42" x 0.8".
Samsung has updated its stylish NV line with three new digital cameras. The NV20 offers 12 megapixels, the NV15 comes in at 10 megapixels, and the NV8 takes 8 megapixel shots. All three of the new digital cameras have the Smart Touch interface that appears on most NV models.
Samsung has announced the L83T, L830, and S85 digital cameras. All three new cameras feature a new (to Samsung) facial recognition feature. The slim, stylish L83T features 8.2 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, 2.5 inch LCD, facial recognition, and Advanced Shake Reduction. The 8 megapixel L830 has a 3x optical zoom and 2.5 inch LCD. The 8 megapixel S85 gets a 5x optical zoom and 2.5 inch LCD.
While the Samsung L77 was announced outside of the US a few weeks ago, today it was announced that the L77 would be available in the US in April. The "world's thinnest" (at 21mm thick) 7 megapixel, 7x optical zoom L77 will retail for $399.
Samsung has rolled out a couple cameras today, the NV11 and L74 Wide. The NV11 features NV styling, 10 megapixel resolution, 5x optical zoom, 2.7 inch LCD and Smart Touch interface. The L74 Wide, as the name implies, features a wide angle (28mm) lens, 7 megapixel resolution, 3.6x optical zoom and a 3 inch touch screen.
