The new Olympus SP-560 UZ still gets the wide angle capable, 18x optical zoom lens that we saw on its predecessor, the SP-550 UZ and then it gets some new features made possible with new TruePic III processor. Some of the new features include Shadow Adjustment Technology, Perfect Shot Preview, Perfect Fix, and face detection AF and AE. The SP-560 UZ will be available in October 2007 for $450.
Olympus did announce two additions to their Stylus line back in February, but managed to save one for the PMA show that starts this week. The Olympus Stylus 780 brings several new features and technologies to the Stylus line. The 7.1 megapixel Stylus 780 will be available in silver and black sometime in May 2007 for $349.
Soon, we'll be posting a full review of the Olympus Stylus 770 SW, but wanted to give you some of our first impressions of the latest shockproof, wateproof camera from Olympus. The Stylus 770 SW is the successor to the Stylus 720 SW and still features 7.1 megapixel resolution, 3x optical zoom and 2.5 inch LCD. There are also some improvements and new cool features.
Olympus has a couple "worlds first" claims to make with their newly announced SP-550 UZ. It is the world's first 18x optical zoom camera and has the world's fastest sequential shooting (at a lower resolution though). The Olympus SP-550 UZ also features 7.1 megapixel capture resolution, a 2.5 inch LCD, and dual image stabilization. It will be available in March 2007 for $499.
Olympus has updated its entry level FE line of digital cameras with four new models. The FE-210, FE-230, FE-240, and FE-250 will be available in February with prices ranging from $149 to $299. Ease of use and slim, sturdy metal bodies pretty much define the FE line and the new models represent, with bodies as slim as 0.6 inches.
The weatherproof Olympus Stylus 760 offers 7.1 megapixels, a 3x optical zoom, a 2.5 inch LCD and dual image stabilization. The Olympus Stylus 770 SW is shockproof, waterproof (now to 33 feet), and crushproof with a 7.1 megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom, 2.5 inch LCD and LED illuminator. The Stylus 760 will be available in February for $249 and the Stylus 770SW will be available in March for $379.
The Olympus FE-200 is a 6 megapixel camera with a wide angle (28mm equivalent), 5x optical zoom lens and a 2.5 inch LCD. It's quite a bit chunkier than the FE-190 that I reviewed recently, but it also has to accommodate a physically larger lens. Our full review is coming soon, but I wanted to give you a couple first impressions until it's completed.
The Olympus SP-510 UZ has a nice spec sheet - 7.1 megapixels, 10x optical zoom, 2.5 inch LCD, the ability to shoot at up to ISO 4000, and full set of exposure modes. Can it compete with the rest of the ultra-zoom market? Here are our "first thoughts" on this camera and we'll have the full review for you soon.
As a preface to our full review of the Olympus Stylus 750, here are our first thoughts about the camera. The weatherproof Stylus 750 shoots at 7.1 megapixels, has a 5x optical zoom and a 2.5 inch LCD.
Olympus has announced four new digital cameras in their weatherproof Stylus line. The Olympus Stylus 730, Stylus 740, Stylus 750, and Stylus 1000 all feature the good looks and weatherproof (water resistant) that the Stylus line is known for. However, a new 5x optical zoom lens system and CCD-shift image stabilization have found their way into the line.
to the jobs of IT pros.
