Nikon has announced the introduction of the Nikon Coolpix S2 digital camera featuring a splash-proof aluminum body that is only 0.9 inches thick. This 5.1 megapixel camera, with a 2.5 inch LCD also includes some nice in-camera software features for red-eye removal, face-priority autofocus and exposure correction.
After much expectation, Nikon has made the announcement today about the introduction to two new digital SLR models - the Nikon D50 and Nikon D70s. The D50 targets users who are looking for digital SLR quality at a non-professional price, while the D70s provides an upgrade to the D70.
Nikon has announced the newest addition to the Coolpix line of digital cameras, the Nikon Coolpix S1. The 5.1 megapixel camera features a 3x optical zoom and 2.5 inch LCD in a 3/4-inch thick body. With dimensions of 89.9 mm wide x 57.5 mm tall x 19.7 mm thick, the Coolpix S1 is 5 mm thicker than the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T7 and 1 mm thinner than the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T33.
The new Nikon DH2s DSLR incorporates several new enhancements and features geared toward photojournalists and sports/action photographers. The DH2s is going to be available in March for $3499.95.
