Panasonic has just unveiled the most recent addition to its Lumix G Series of Compact Systems Cameras: the Lumix DMC-G3, a Micro Four Thirds camera with a DSLR form factor.
Most brand name point-and-shoot digital cameras on the market today feature a video mode, and an increasing number of them offer an HD video mode. We've put together a few tips on how to get the best HD video from your compact camera in our latest DCR Workshop.
The new Canon PowerShot A3100 IS is a strong candidate for a graduation or Mother's Day gift. It's reasonably priced, easy to use, and thanks to a svelte rechargeable lithium-ion battery, very pocketable. We're taking a first look at the A3100 with our initial impressions as well as a few sample images.
Panasonic is currently traveling to major U.S. cities with its "Touch the Future Tour," an event that gives consumers hands-on time with new products unveiled at CES and PMA. We swung by the tour's Boston stop at Copley Place to get a hands-on look at Panasonic's latest digital cameras, including the Lumix G2.
The Canon PowerShot SX210 IS just arrived and our first impressions are here. There are plenty of reasons to look at the camera closely. After teasing the release of a new digital PEN camera last week, Olympus has officially taken the wraps off the E-PL1. It's their third Micro Four Thirds model, a step-down alternative to the E-P1 and E-P2.
