Casio EXILIM Pro EX-F1 announced

At a press conference this afternoon, Casio unveiled its long-awaited, phenomenally fast EXILIM Pro EX-F1. True to its prototypes, the production EX-F1 offers full-resolution shooting at a staggering 60 frames per second, making it the fastest continuous-shooting camera in the world. Other specs and features include a high-speed 6.0 megapixel CMOS sensor and a 12x optical zoom.

Casio Exilim EX-S880 Review

Casio's latest card camera, the Exilim EX-S880, hasn't changed much since its predecessor, the S770. Resolution has been increased to 8.1 megapixels (from 7.2), the 2.8 inch LCD is the same, and the camera body is still the same slim, stylish one that we've seen before. The other new features are that the S880 has the new YouTube mode that we've seen on the other recent Casio cameras and a face detection system.

Casio Exilim EX-Z77 review

Casio tends to make pretty minor changes to their camera models throughout the year and the Casio Exilim EX-Z77 is no exception. Its hardware is more or less identical to the previous Z75 - 7.1 megapixel resolution, 3x optical zoom, and 2.6 inch LCD. It does get some new features, like the YouTube movie mode, H.264 movie encoding, auto tracking AF and a face detection system. Like the Z75, the Z77 comes in pink, blue, black, and silver.

Casio Protoype Digital Camera Shoots at 60 Frames per Second

At IFA 2007 in Berlin, Casio is displaying a prototype digital camera that is capable of taking still images at 60fps and movies at 300fps. The new camera uses a 6 megapixel CMOS sensor and a high speed LSI image processing chip to crunch all of that data. Besides the actual prototype, there is no word on release date, pricing, or even final specifications.

Casio Exilim EX-Z1080 Announced

The latest camera in Casio's Zoom line is the Casio Exilim EX-Z1080. The Z1080 offers 10.1 megapixel resolution, a 3x optical zoom, 2.6 inch Bright LCD, and a high sensitivity mode up that takes shots at up to ISO 6400. The Z1080 is being announced concurrently with the Casio Exilim EX-V8.

Casio Exilim EX-S880 and Exilim EX-Z77 Announced With YouTube Movie Capture Mode

Casio has announced two new digital cameras - the Exilim EX-S880 and Exilim EX-Z77 - and an agreement with YouTube to make it easy for users to make movies and upload them to the popular video-sharing service. Similar to their arrangement with ebay last year, the agreement with YouTube will utilize the MPEG-4 H.264 movie capturing ability of the cameras to take "YouTube ready" movies. Additional bundled software will make it easy for users to upload and share their movies as quickly as possible.

Casio Exilim EX-Z1200 Digital Camera Announced

One of two 12 megapixel announcements today, the Casio Exilim EX-Z1200 is the latest Casio Zoom digital camera. Besides the 12 megapixel capture resolution, the camera also features CCD-shift image stabilization, a 2.8 inch Wide and Bright LCD, 3x optical zoom and the Exilim Engine 2.0. The Z1200 will be available in two colors - silver and black - in July for a suggested retail of $399.
