Canon releases PowerShot SD3500, SD1400, SD1300 Digital ELPHs

Canon adds the PowerShot SD1400 IS, PowerShot SD1300 IS, and PowerShot SD3500 IS to their Digital ELPH line. They offer features such as wide angle lenses and touch screen functionality in a slim, compact camera bodies. The new PowerShots will be available in a variety of splashy colors.

In the face of mounting competition from Sony, Panasonic, and others, Canon is holding its ground in the HD camcorder market as it announced nine new flash-memory models to its Vixia line at CES 2010. With new additions to the high-end and mid-range Vixia lines, Canon also introduced a new series of entry-level models, the HF R-series.

Canon updates A series with four new PowerShots

Canon announces today an update to their entry-level, low-cost PowerShot A series with the launch of four new cameras. The PowerShot A3100 IS and A3000 IS feature image stabilization, Smart Auto shooting mode, and a 4x optical zoom range. The PowerShot A495 and A490 offer all of the basics for prices hovering just over $100.
