Fujifilm announces the first half of its 2011 cameras today, ringing in the new year with a new 16 megapixel EXR CMOS back illuminated sensor. Three new FinePix cameras will bring the sensor to market with the 30x optical zoom FinePix HS20 at the head of the class.
Expanding its FinePix lineup to include thirteen new cameras, Fujifilm launches new S-series and rugged XP cameras alongside basic entry-level models for users of all interest levels.
Samsung announces a wireless compact for CES 2011, the SH100. In addition to WiFi hotspots, the SH100 can connect wirelessly to an Android Galaxy S smartphone to provide a live preview of an image before it has been captured.
