Kodak has officially announced the availability of their EasyShare One digital camera. Introduced at CES at the beginning of the year, Kodak delayed the release of this model earliter this year. Kodak worked up a lot of anticipation for this camera, which has a 4 megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom, 256MB internal memory and a rotating/flipping 3 inch touchscreen LCD. Not to mention the the use of an 802.11 wireless network when using the Kodak WI-FI card. Their goal is to let you sit on your couch while you send pictures to your Kodak printer. The EasyShare One will be availabe in October for $599 with the Kodak WI-FI card.
Pentax has announced two new cameras, the Pentax Optio S6, their slimmest camera, and the Pentax Optio WPi, the successor the their previous waterproof camera, the Optio WP.
While highlighting the new Olympus SP-500 UZ (ultra-zoom), Olympus has added the SP line of cameras targeted the more advanced amateur photographer and enthusiast. The SP-500 UZ has a 10x optical zoom, 6 megapixel sensor and 2.5 inch LCD. The SP series will also give the photographer more power with the ability to shoot in manual mode. The SP-500 UZ will be available in October at an estimated street price of $379.
As part of their new product blitz, Olympus has announced it's new "FE" line of simple to use cameras. The Olympus FE-100 and FE-110 are 4 and 5 megapixel cameras, respectively, with a 1.5 inch LCD and 2.8x optical zoom lens. The FE-120 adds just a bit more, with a 6 megapixel sensor, 1.8-inch LCD, 3x optical zoom, and Olympus' TruePic Turbo imaging processor. All three models will be available in September at estimated street values of $149 for the FE-100, $199 for the FE-110, and $229 for the FE-120.
Olympus, following Canon's lead, has announced a plethora of new cameras today. The Olympus Stylus 600 continues the line's weather-proof design with a 6 megapixel sensor and a 2.5 inch LCD. For those wanting to use this as an underwater digital camera, Olympus has an underwater housing all ready to go. The Stylus 600 features Olympus' Bright Capture Technology and an ISO sensitivity up to 1600 to capture those low-light images. The Stylus 600 will be available in September at an estimated street price of $299.

The Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z6 has been announced. The Z6 is a 6 megapixel ultra-zoom (12x optical) that includes the same CCD-shift Anti-Shake technology that is in Konica Minolta's Maxxum 7D digital SLR. The camera also features a 2 inch LCD. According to Konica Minolta, 4 AA high-capacity NiMH rechargeable batteries will power the Z6 for approximately 420 shots. The Rapid AF (focusing in 0.2 seconds and wide angle and 0.3 seconds a telephoto) allow photographers to quickly capture their shot. The Z6 will be available in mid-September at a retail of $399.99.
