We're heading into Mom/Dad/Grad season and there are plenty of great digital cameras out there to choose from. To help you get started, we like to profile the most popular cameras, at least on our web site. The rankings are determined by the number of times a particular product page is viewed by our users.
Announced today, the Casio Exilim EX-Z1000 digital camera features a 10.1 megapixel sensor in a very compact camera with 2.8 inch wide format LCD and 3x optical zoom. The Z1000 is expected to be available in June at an MSRP of $399.
Grabbing the title of "World's Smallest 10x Optical Zoom", the Kodak Easyshare V610 uses the dual lens system, previously seen on the Kodak Easyshare V570, to get a 38-380mm (35mm equivalent) focal length. The camera, that looks almost exactly like the V570, packs the long zoom range into a body that is only 0.9 inches thick. The V610 will be available in "coming weeks" at an MSRP of $449.
