Trying to achieve a record with the number of press releases for one camera, Kodak has announced that their WiFi enabled EasyShare One digital camera is now shipping. Amazon is saying that it will be available on October 20, but from the sounds of Kodak's press release, it may be sooner.
The Olympus EVOLT E-500 was announced today by Olympus. The follow-up to the E-300, the E-500 still includes their dust reduction system (that vibrates the dust off the sensor) and has an 8 megapixel sensor and 2.5 inch LCD to review images after they're taken. The camera features Olympus' Truepic Turbo Image Processor for quick camera response. The E-500 will be available in October 2005, bundled with either one or two Zuiko Digital Specific lenses. The E-500 with a 14-45mm f3.5/5.6 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens will be available for $799. E-500 TWO Lens Outfit, with a 14-45mm f3.5/5.6 and 40-150mm f3.5/4.5 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens will be available for $899.
DXG USA has announced the DXG-503, a 5.1 megapixel camera with 2 inch LCD at a great entry-level price point. The camera also has 32 MB of built-in memory and a SD/MMC memory card slot. At an estimated street price of $149-$169, the camera may be a good choice for first-time digital users and budding photographers.

Ricoh has announced the GR Digital, a "professional-grade" compact camera. The GR Digital is specifically designed to provide the best resolution, noise level, color correction and distortion levels. The 8.1 megapixel camera has a fixed focal length GR lens with a 24 mm (35 mm equivalent) focal length and features a new GR Engine processing system. The camera is expected to be available on October 21, 2005.
