Sony Europe announced the new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S800 digital camera that will be available in May 2007. The feature that will catch the most interest is the 6x optical zoom in the camera. The camera also takes 8.1 megapixel shots and has a 2.5 inch LCD with 230K pixels of resolution.

DXG USA has announced the multi-purpose DXG-589V digital camera/camcorder/media player/video game player. A 5 megapixel sensor captures still images and videos, and the 3 inch LCD can be flipped around for "Gameboy"-like gaming. The camera will be available immediately for $199 from "leading retailers like Best Buy and Circuit City".
