Kodak has announced three cameras to update several of their lines. In the Z (High Zoom) line, they have announced the EasyShare Z612 a 12x optical zoom with stabilization that will be available in April 2006 at an MSRP of $399. In the stylish V series, we'll see the EasyShare V603 in April for $299. Two new cameras are added to the entry level C line. The EasyShare C643 will be available in April for $249 and the EasyShare C533 will be available in June for $199.
Continuing the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) blitz, Kodak has announced the EasyShare C663, the EasyShare Z650 and the EasyShare C530.
One of the most unique looking cameras to be seen in a while, the Kodak EasyShare V570 sports two lenses that don't protrude at all from the camera. With one lens to provide an ultra-wide angle (22 mm focal length - 35 mm equivalent) and another to provide an optical zoom from 39-117 mm - 35mm equivalent) the V570 provides a total of a 5x optical zoom. The V570 will be available at the end of January for an MSRP of $399.
Trying to achieve a record with the number of press releases for one camera, Kodak has announced that their WiFi enabled EasyShare One digital camera is now shipping. Amazon is saying that it will be available on October 20, but from the sounds of Kodak's press release, it may be sooner.
Kodak has officially announced the availability of their EasyShare One digital camera. Introduced at CES at the beginning of the year, Kodak delayed the release of this model earliter this year. Kodak worked up a lot of anticipation for this camera, which has a 4 megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom, 256MB internal memory and a rotating/flipping 3 inch touchscreen LCD. Not to mention the the use of an 802.11 wireless network when using the Kodak WI-FI card. Their goal is to let you sit on your couch while you send pictures to your Kodak printer. The EasyShare One will be availabe in October for $599 with the Kodak WI-FI card.
Kodak has garnered some recognition from J.D. Power and Associates for the highest customer satisfaction with their digital cameras in two price categories: $200-399 and $199 or less. This is the second year in a row that Kodak has ranked the highest in the $200-399 category. Read the full press release below.
Kodak has announced the introduction of their new P-series with two new cameras. You might be able to call the P-series, the "Prosumer" series from Kodak, as that's the user that they're targeting. Photographers who may not be ready to make the investment in a digital SLR, but have demanding photogrraphic needs. The Kodak EasyShare P880 provides 8 megapixels, a wide angle lens (24-140 mm, 35 mm equivalent) with a manual zoom ring, for $599 in September. The Kodak EasyShare P850 is a 5.1 megapixel camera with a 12x optical zoom, image-stablized lens and an advanced auto focus system made up of 25 selectable zones. The P850 will be available this month for $499.
