Fujifilm today has announced the successor to their Finepix S9000 digital camera. The enthusiast oriented Fujifilm Finepix S9100 features a 9 megapixel Super CCD sensor, 10.7x optical zoom, and the ability to shoot at ISO 80-1600. Look for the S9100 in September for $599.
Fujifilm has announced a modified version of their Finepix S3 Pro. This new limited edition camera, the Fujifilm Finepix S3 Pro UVIR, is modified to be sensitive to ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) light. This camera is the first "factory made" digital SLR to be specifically designed for UV and IR photography.
Today, Fujifilm has announced a new addition to their Real Photo Technology line-up - Face Detection Technology. It's not the first time we've seen something like this, but read on for Fujifilm's approach to achieving it. Along with the announcement of the Face Detection Technology, Fujifilm announced the Finepix S6000fd, the first digital camera to use the new technology, and the Finepix F20, a sister camera to their F30 digital camera.
Fujifilm USA has announced the Finepix Z3 - a very slim and sexy followup to the slim and sexy Finepix Z1. The Fujifilm Finepix Z3 shoots at 5.1 megapixels, has a 2.5 inch LCD, a 3x optical zoom and is available in Silver and Blue (and Pink in Europe). It will be available in July for $279.
The new Fujifilm FinePix V10 is an ultra compact 5 megapixel point & shoot digital camera with a 3.4X optical zoom (38mm-130mm equiv) and a large 3.0 inch high-resolution (230,000 pixels) LCD screen. Fuji claims the stylishly square little V10 substantially reduces image noise via the high efficiency Super CCD HR sensor and Fuji's proprietary Real Photo Technology (which automatically subtracts noise from captured images).
