Panasonic announces pricing, availability for Lumix GH1

In a press release this morning, Panasonic has spelled out purchasing details for its long-awaited addition to its Micro Four Thirds line. Announced at PMA 2009, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1 will be rolling out to retailers in early June. As expected based on previously announced European pricing, the new HD-capable model will command a hefty $1499.95 kit price when it hits stores next month.

Samsung NX concept comes into focus

Samsung NX concept features compact footprint, APS-C sensor

PMA 2009 doesn't officially open for another day, but Samsung's already trying to steal the show with the announcement of its NX concept camera. Using an APS-C sensor and removing the mirror box for a full-time live view shooting experience (a la the Micro Four Thirds system), this interesting concept may be Samsung's ticket to a leadership role in the camera market.
