1. Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS (previously #1)  Still reigning supreme is the ELPH 300 HS. It hits a sweet spot budget and feature-wise, with a 12.1 megapixel CMOS sensor, DIGIC 4 processor and 1080 HD video. We recently reviewed its successor, the also top-ten-worthy ELPH 110 HS. 4. Canon PowerShot SX40 HS (previously #3) – The PowerShot SX40 is a DSLR-style ultrazoom packing a massive 35x optical zoom lens. It boasts up to 8 fps burst shooting thanks in part to a powerful DIGIC 5 processor. Canon PowerShot SX40 HS Review | Canon PowerShot SX40 HS User Opinions
