Up until last month, the Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS held the number one slot in our monthly most popular list in a stranglehold. The Nikon Coolpix S9300 upstages the powerful little ELPH 300 with a premium feature set, starting with an 18x optical zoom lens. In terms of raw specs, it beats out the 300 HS in almost every category except price. The PowerShot is available for around $200, which is partially what made it so popular among DCR readers.
