Review Summary:
Sony diverted from the standard DSLR script with the a55 and created an incredibly fast camera with good image quality, solid video capture and pro-level continuous shooting.
Pros
Cons
The Sony Alpha A55 uses a translucent (pellicle) mirror in place of a traditional mirror. This system allows a phase-detect AF chip to track focus continuously for blazing fast 10 fps continuous shooting and smooth focusing in 1080 HD video mode. The A55 accepts Sony Alpha lenses and features 3D and 2D Sweep Panorama modes.
