Elegant and powerful yet compact cam!

PROS: Great image quality, even when using its 10x zoom; durable and elegant design; intelligent Auto mode, 22+ modes (beach, party, pet, baby, candlelight, airplane, and even underwater mode!); wide-angle 28mm; EZ 10x zoom button with additional digital zoom; ultra-high resolution display; 2 speed zoom; HD movie recording; 3 modes of image stabilization; reliable...

CONS: Battery is good, but could last longer; auto-focus, sometimes, is difficult to set because of AF hunting for the target; microphone doesn't grab all the noise it should due to bad location (in the top); microphone can be easily obstructed with the finger; flash can be easily obstructed with the finger due to its position...

PROS: - 10X Zoom - High quality Leica lenses - Work fast in all conditions (fast auto focus with firmware ver. 1.2) - Small battery charger - Nice and compact design - Nice macro mode - Brilliant screen - Superb quality HD video

CONS: - Average image quality (my 4 years old HP R707 produce better images) - Average battery life (about 300 shots) - Not so easy to use - Small menu buttons - Microphone placement - No manual controls

Great vacation camera

PROS: Size, fast response, good video, fine pictures, excellent image stabilzation, and smart picture recognition.

CONS: Some problems focusing when camera is shaking too much. Battery life is a bit low. You need lots of memory for HD video. Took 780 photos and video and used 6Gb. Few user controls.

PROS: Features can't be beat by any other P&S. Impeccable design. Menus very intuitive. Oh yeah, the camera is so smart, it makes anyone look like a pro. The LCD is also phenomenal, but get a screen protector to avoid scratches

CONS: - poor placement of mic for video use - not quite a compact camera, though with its features its difficult to fault

PROS: 1/ 28mm wide angle. 2/ x10zoom. 3/ Ability to zoom in video mode. 4/ stills quality.

CONS: 1/ Noisy microphone, very hissy! Should be more directional and mounted on the front, rather than on the top. 2/ Focus issues when zooming during video mode, finds it hard to keep focus, keeps hunting. 3/ vertical streaks appear in video when pointing at bright light source, like candles, light bulbs, sun..

PROS: Optical Zoom, Easy Zoom, Slow Video Zoom, OIS,Audio to Pics, Histogram, iA Mode, 720HD to 1080i output, Menus, Playback Slideshow with Music, Stills from Video, and the Screen is Killer!!!!

CONS: Focus issues (hunting) in various modes including Macro, Mic location, Battery capacity, Time Stamp method, Plastic Tripod connector, No enclosed Component Cable, Mono Speaker, and Mono Mic.
