PROS: Overall, I liked this camera. I bought my wife the Panasonic FZ18 so I could compare the two. I found that both serve their purpose in different areas. I've noticed that I have begun to carrying this camera alone instead of bringing my Canon 40D and all it's lens/accessories when I go out. It's much easier to carry for those casual shoots. For serious shooting I will still use my DSLR. What I liked: 1) Zoom range (both wide and long end) 2) Contruction (It feels solid compared to my wife's Panosonic FZ18) 3) Features (Face recognition, AF Predict for tracking birds in flight, etc.) 4) More nature colors (then my old Sony H2)
CONS: What I don't like: 1) The xD card descision by Olympus is a poor one. 2) The shot times between RAW shots are 10 seconds. That's too long and needs to be improved upon!
OVERALL SCORE:9/10
PROS: Great shipping and good customer service
CONS: Faulty camera
PROS: The Olympus 560 UZ digital camera has tons of options for taking pictures. It's about as close to an SLR as you can get in a powerful regular digital camera.
CONS: Because of all it's options, it can be a bit overwhelming for the starter or intermediate user. You need to understand terms like ISO, aperture, diopter, bracketing to appreciate the camera's value.
PROS: Great pictures, intuitive, stylish, and functional. Uses AA batteries. Great price.
CONS: Minor detail on camera strap, suggest using plastic instead of aluminum to avoid scratching the screen when in camera case.
PROS: Very pleased with the strength of the zoom. I like having quick access to the frequently used settings.
CONS: All cameras have a weak point somewhere, but haven't found one here yet.
PROS: Better than the competition! Great 18X optical lens with a 27mm wide angle lens - all built in. Great set of features that you won't outgrow. Can take it out of the box and start shooting and learn as you go. Great camera for both beginners and seasoned veterans wanting a smaller camera that can do most all. Great build quality that is made to last. The solid construction makes the competition seem like cheap toys. Included editing software and full print manual(book). DID I MENTION THE LENS AND FEATURES?
CONS: Most review out there refer to the older model, the 550 UZ, which was a good camera, though not near as great as the newer model.
