PROS: the best image quality and specially in macro mode

CONS: the small hard to use view finder

Good camera, bad viewfinder

PROS: This is a typical Canon camera, fast, easy to use (compared to DSLR) and very good picture quality. The screen is good - could be better - and the controls are well placed.

CONS: Dynamic range could be wider. Viewfinder is terribly bad and inaccurate, which makes the camera a "do not recommend" despite the good features because somebody who wants this camera to replace a DSLR for everyday use is going to get a bad deal. Buy another camera without viewfinder, or buy one with an electronic one.

CONS: Too many settings are neded for shooting good pictures.

PROS: Strong built camera with that retro look 12mp is Oh-my-god! :-) Excellent image quality with decent enlargement prints RAW is back in the G9! expands creativity for serious photographers Macro results are mind-blowing. Try it to believe it! Overall image quality and features proved a good replacement for the DSLRs

CONS: Could have been a little more compact to carry in pocket A higher zoon level would have been better (though can live with 6x) Macro shots has little barrel distortion
