PROS: Took adequate photos during its short functioning period. Image quality was OK but not as high as expected; features and usability were very good.
CONS: Unreliable coupled with lousy after-sales service, a very bad combination. Stopped working after 2 weeks, been waiting more than two months now for Fujifilm to decide whether to replace it or fix it. It cost me $3.50 per photo, hence the very low score for value. Also the low-light shots were quite disappointing, didn't live up to Fujifilm's marketing or rep at all. In moving from the F31 to the F50 they've doubled the pixel count on the same size sensor, making for better photos at very high magnification levels but inferior shots at low light.
OVERALL SCORE:6/10
PROS: on http://picasaweb.google.com/rundumelii/Test_fuji_f50fd you can see pictures made with the finepix f50fd from 100 to 6400 asa . in the end you even find a foto of the slr nikon 80d to compare ... surprise ;-) see and smile ! and it finally fits into my pocket !!
CONS: compared to my old finepix f20/30 it looses with 800 asa and higher ... but is much better with low asa !
OVERALL SCORE:8/10
