PROS: fantastic lens at all focal lengths. Good image all the time time in adequate lighting condition even at ISO 800. light weight. nice button layout. Very good LCD clarity. Decent EVF. True color reproduction. Lots of manual options. Lots of programmed modes for fast snaps. Impressive image even at lowest Mpx settings so that maximum magnification of 28X is still very good even at 3Mpx. Effecient flash function at moderate distances. Fast focusing in particular modes. Good price.
CONS: While image detail is good even at higher ISOs, noise is evident at ISO 200 in good lighting...ISO 100 in poor lighting conditions. Flash is too low at popped position that the lens hood obstructs flash... You need to take off the hood when using flash. Not swivel LCD.
PROS: This camera has everything you need and a little more. A fun camera that gives really good pictures.
CONS: Noise at high ISO values, but that's a problem with competitor cameras as well. Alot can be done in pre processing.
PROS: Incredibly distortion free super-zoom lens !! Fantastic image quality up to ISO 400 (in spite of the limited dynamic range). Small size and weight and yet superb handling. Face detection really works ! A multitude of modes. Powerful "little" flash. Logical menu system. Beautifully built.
CONS: Smearing at high ISO values (400 and higher). Limited dynamic range.
PROS: It seems the closest race winner is here.
CONS: should keep hand features - hand zoom as FZ30 & FZ50 should hawe adaptor ring/s for 55 & 58 mm wide & tele lenses for other models Or build-in UV filter with thread for other filters/lenses extentions, etc.
