PROS: Large Hi-Rez LCD screen. Easy controls. Best features are all internal lens movement which allows a wide range of 46mm lenses and filters. Also, takes AA penlight batteries making an emergency replacement as easy as stopping into any shop in any theme park to replace them. No proprietary battery to go dead at the wrong moment, and cheap too!
CONS: Memory card door could be and feel sturdier. Seems cheap compared to the rest of the camera.
OVERALL SCORE:8/10
PROS: Great value for a 7.1 mega pixel
CONS: All pictures taken inside were grainy and so unclear they were not worth keeping. I still have a older model Fuji (2650) that I love!. I bought the new Fuji thinking I would be getting the same quality camera just better with more mega pixel and zoom. I was very disappointed of the quality of the pictures produced by the Fuji s700. Stay away from this one, it is not worth your money.
OVERALL SCORE:5/10
PROS: Excellent Image quality, Excellent Video capability, Ease of use, Full manual controls, Price, Build quality, Battery life, Sharpness in images, Color, Light weight, attractive looks, erognomics, etc.
CONS: Terrible purple fringing in out door shots against light, impossible to use manual focus, Aperture starting at F 3.5 (F2.8 is desirable at the level of such cameras, No real image stabilization (just pumps the ISO and increases the shutter speed)
OVERALL SCORE:9/10
PROS: Camera takes amazing SLR-like images and performs very well in most situations I have put it in. I would really like a longer shutter speed for outside night shots of landscapes. So far for the money it will make an excellent camera until I can grab an SLR. Macro shots are amazing with this camera.
CONS: Menu's can be confusing sometimes, I also wish it accepted High Capacity SD cards
OVERALL SCORE:8/10
PROS: This camera has served me incredibly well, overall - takes great pictures both inside and out, and good for still shots. It fits comfortably in your hand, good weight, and has a number of easily accessed options, including manual adjustments of exposure and shutter speed. I especially like the natural light/flash option. It has taken great portraits, though you have to be precise with your timing.
CONS: Action shots tend to blur, and video quality is poor once transferred off the tiny screen on the camera.
OVERALL SCORE:9/10
PROS: This is a sharp looking camera with a lot of options and a lot of promise.
CONS: The photos we take outdoors with this camera are all right, but indoors, they are horrible. On the auto settings they are ALWAYS blurry or grainy, and even on the manual shutter speed settings it is almost impossible to get a picture that is worth printing out. We have been so disappointed and even more so as Fujifilm has been terrible to try to work with. Please save yourself the trouble!
