  Satisfied with my decision

PROS: 10MP, point & shoot OR manual controls for my learning curve, lipo battery, stabilization works great, face recognition, sleek top of the line advanced camera before SLR's Accessories available

CONS: flash shodows in tight shots a little, maybe a little more zoon

  Great camera so far

PROS: Adjustable optical viewfinder and large LCD screen (both helpful for folks who hate wearing reading glasses), fits in my purse & has 6 x optical zoom

CONS: expensive (haven't told the husband yet!)

PROS: Everything about this camera is awesome. Too many features on this camera to just pick a few to list here.

CONS: No RAW mode but who cares...I don't.

PROS: Metal body, fast start-up, large vivid LCD screen, viewfinder, ease of operation, anti-shake, multiple options in auto and manual, Digic III, face focus

CONS: Price, no parallax correction in the viewfinder.

PROS: Image qality, accurate metering system, IS, loads of functions, ISO dial and hot shoe.

CONS: Soft corners at 50mm( 35mm equiv.), above diffraction limit at tele end, parallax error.

  Great all around camera

PROS: It has solid quality construction (metal), easy controls and an excellent LCD. The pictures are awefully sharp and the videos are almost like the minidvs'. Shooting options are numerous to experiment with. Start up is fast. I bought a 4 and 8gb SDHC memory card for this camera and it rocks, writing is very fast, downloading to the computer is excellent. If this camera had RAW it would surely take away sales of entry level dSLRs. I got this to supplement my Rebel XT and don't regret it. And the best thing of all is that it's actually made in Japan!

CONS: No remote for shooting.

OVERALL SCORE:9/10

  Solid with great control

PROS: Great picture quality, excellent controls (aperture, shutter speedy, ISO, manual setting, etc), 10 Mega Pixels, quick start.

CONS: No RAW... Why?

  Fantastic image quality and incredible ease of operation.

PROS: High resolution, easy ISO adjustment, excellent built-in zoom, competing with with DSLRs in real-world photo abilities.

CONS: I haven't used it in the past, but I would experiment with RAW if it were available. However, I've taken a couple of hundred images so far and haven't really longed for RAW capability.

  Great, as long as you don't need RAW

PROS: With all of the obsession with RAW, I wonder how many users actually shoot in this mode. I personally don't care about the lack of RAW and as far as a flip out lcd, i also say who cares. Obviously these are important factors to some, but just points to complain about for others. To paraphrase from another review, film cameras have never had flip out lcds and they are just fine. Anyway that's just my 2 cents. I am waiting for delivery of my G7 so I am also guilty of not having possession of the camera before filing a review, but since the other user also does not have the camera i feel it is only fair to counter his negative with my positive.
