PROS: Manual zoom, function button, great lens.
CONS: Not good for macro, Confusing instruction book.
OVERALL SCORE:8/10
PROS: Incredible value, I have some incredible images printed at 11X14 and I have enlarged some crops significantly too. I don't know of a better camera all around in bright light, in low light I believe a DSLR would prove itself much better in the image. For my use this is a great comprimize, my whole camera set-up fits in my hand instead of a backpack. Using RAW for important images solves the noise, softness, and Jpeg artifacts that many reviews have complained about. I have owned it for 5 months and have shot over 3000 images. The fit and finish are incredible, better than any piece of electronic equipment I have owned for a long time. I use for birds, family photos and portraits and I am really enjoying it. Get a good, fast and big SD card or two and enjoy.
CONS: Images are not pristine in low light situations. This is big, it won't fit in a purse or hang around your neck unnoticed. Pack a bag or backpack, but the images are worth it. I recently carried it all over Disneyland in a backpack and it was well worth having along.
OVERALL SCORE:9/10
PROS: The zoom is ridiculous, and combining it with the OIS makes it just plain silly: if you have the camera, you know what I'm talking about; if you don't -get it, you won't be dissapointed. Now add the fact that its a 10 MegaPixel camera --probably more than you need, but isn't that the point? You don't want to spend 100s of dollars and think "if I'd spent $100 more, I couldn't gotten a little more camera." That won't happen here.
CONS: No lens cap tether. 32MB SD card included is practically worthless. You'll want to go grab a couple of 2GB cards --and make them high speed too, the burst mode is truly amazing with a hi-speed SD card.
OVERALL SCORE:9/10
PROS: Built in 35mm-420mm zoom lens
CONS: The delay, although much less than pocket cameras.
PROS: Holds & handles nicely, although bulky, enjoyed it for travelling.
CONS: USA Panasonic Digital Service Center, on International Warranty Card DOES NOT service digital still cameras!
PROS: Been using this camera for night photos, sports, and portraits, and the results are great! all this fuss about noise?!? All I can say is, give this baby a try and find out for yourself. You will be impressed!
CONS: Just a little pricey, but your paying more for the great lens.
OVERALL SCORE:9/10
PROS: Leica 12x zoom, image stabilization; raw mode capture; Auto ISO; 10+ MP
CONS: Expensive; rather large and bulky; not the best choice for extreme enlargements due to noise
PROS: Superb images, Exceptional build Quality, Perfect fit for general public
CONS: Shoddy reviews - I got a point here - read my opinion carefully !!
PROS: Fantastic image quality and a solid all rounder, very stylish
CONS: Everybody seems to be branding panasonic cameras about a noise problem( almost all cameras have that, except DSLR's) This could be a publicity problem for this camera as well
PROS: Soper Optics, Fast AF, Manual Zoom Ring is a dream to use, Image Stabalising is great,Image Quality is superb up to ISO400
CONS: Not Much
OVERALL SCORE:8/10
